Meet a group of Japanese macaques (a.k.a. snow monkey; Macaca fuscata fuscata, family Cercopithecidae) in the wild. They looked so relaxed and playful on the hillside road. They foraged from time to time, played and groomed each other. You can also hear their occasional quiet coo-calls. Early-May 2010 in Japan.山道で野生ニホンザルの群れと遭遇。初めは警戒していましたが静かに少しずつ接近すると近くで撮らせてくれました。道端で採食したり（文字通り「道草を食う」猿）互いに身繕いしたり、猿の仕草は見ていて飽きません。耳を澄ますと時々互いに鳴き交わすクーコール（？）も聞こえます。どうやら人馴れした群れのようです。
